InstaTuts.com Top 10 Tuts Contest (Ended)
We want to announce our plans on opening our tutorial website, InstaTuts.com! With a limited budget and resources
we’d like to hold a contest for tutorials to add to the site. The contest will start immediately and will end Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
We will award the top ten tutorials $150 each and then award the second group of 10, $50 each. If your tutorial is not chosen at this time, we will need more tutorials in the near future and will be willing to pay for them when we’re ready, and if we like your tutorial. We will be sure to give constructive feedback to all entries so you can know what can be done to improve it.
We don’t want to limit you to a specific topic; we want you to be creative and try to find a tutorial that hasn’t been published already on other sites. We do, however, want you to use images and screenshots along with your very detailed tutorial!
Here is a list of categories or topics you might consider. There are many sub-categories and topics that you can choose beyond these. Please choose a category and then dig deeper to find a tutorial that is different than what can be found out there already.
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- corelDRAW!
- Logo Design
- Adding 3D Effects
- Web Design
- Proper use of Gradients, Shadowing, etc…
- Blogging tutorials
- Web Development
- SEO
- WordPress
- Branding
- Photo Manipulation
Please no duplicate content! Please DO NOT copy work from someone else. It makes all of us look less professional, not to mention Google and other search engines will remove our site from their search. This is a great opportunity to get your name out there and be seen, so please make sure this is YOUR best work.
Once your tutorial is complete, formatted in Microsoft Word, you can e-mail it to: tutorials (at sign) instatuts.com
If you don’t have Microsoft Word, you can submit it through Google Docs. You can get an account by going to Google Docs and click the “Get Started” button to the lower right. We’re happy to help if you need any with Google Docs. For instructions on how to share your document with us using Google Docs, visit this tutorial: http://instatuts.com/help/how-to-share-instatuts-com-your-google-doc-tutorial/.
Please feel free to e-mail us at: tutorials (at sign) instatuts.com if you have any questions.
We’re looking forward to your tutorials!

Hello there. I’m wondering how about if I post a tutorial on how to develop a game using Macromedia / Adobe Flash? Based on my own experience, I found it is hard for a Flash user like me to find nice, neat and complete tutorial about this. As my dream to be a lecturer demand me to share my knowledge, I find this is a good platform to start with.

Do the tutorials have to be made with a video camera or a screen capture & record software? Anybody answer please. -Akima
Comment by admin — September 29, 2009 @ 2:13 pm
Akima,
Thanks for the question! If the tutorials are videos, we’d like them to be done with screen capture and record software and not a video camera.
We’re looking forward to it!
